CAHSAH may collect personal information about you (such as your name, postal address, telephone number and email address) that you provide voluntarily. You ordinarily are not required to register or provide personal information in order to access the public section of our website, but the members section of the website does require registration. CAHSAH will use your personal information only as permitted by this Policy.
CAHSAH may collect personal information online for all legal purposes, which include, but are not limited to:
Name, email addresses, postal addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers, information for annual conference and educational programs, and information for annual memberships. Other areas which collect similar information are: classified ads, ?contact us?, message boards, and product orders.
CAHSAH does not collect or store credit card information on its website or in its database. All electronic monetary transactions are performed on our third party secure payment processor?s website. This third party processor, Authorize.net, uses state of the art SSL encryption security.
Except as provided herein, CAHSAH will not sell, rent or otherwise disclose personal information about you to unaffiliated third parties.
We may disclose personal information you have provided through our website to persons or companies that we retain to carry out activities for which you have registered or in which you have otherwise asked to participate. We also will disclose personal information if required by law, including compliance with warrants, subpoenas, or other legal process.
CAHSAH also may offer you the opportunity to receive email updates and announcements concerning our services to the profession and the public. Personal information you have provided to CAHSAH may be used to facilitate those communications.
It is CAHSAH?s policy that persons and companies to which it discloses personal information must restrict their use of such information to the purposes of their contracts with CAHSAH and not disclose that information to others. CAHSAH cannot be responsible, however, for any damages caused by the failure of unaffiliated third parties to honor their privacy obligations to CAHSAH. Similarly, CAHSAH is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of unaffiliated entity websites that are linked to its website.
CAHSAH may provide personal and other information to a purchaser or successor entity in connection with the sale of CAHSAH or substantially all of the assets of the CAHSAH.
CAHSAH takes seriously its obligations under the Children?s Online Privacy Protection Act concerning the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13. The CDA website is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. However, where appropriate, CAHSAH will specifically instruct children not to submit personal information to our website and/or will take reasonable steps to ensure that we obtain parental consent to such submission.
Parents should be aware that information that is voluntarily given by children or others in chat sessions, email exchanges, bulletin boards or the like may be used by other parties to generate unsolicited email or other contacts. CAHSAH encourages all parents to instruct their children in the safe and responsible use of the Internet.
CAHSAH takes measures to prevent unauthorized intrusion to its website and the alteration, acquisition or misuse of personal information by unauthorized persons. Notably, credit card information submitted by users of our website is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (?SSL?) or other encryption mechanisms. However, CAHSAH cautions visitors to its website that no network, including the Internet, is entirely secure. Accordingly, we cannot be responsible for loss, corruption or unauthorized acquisition of personal information provided to our website, or for any damages resulting from such loss, corruption or unauthorized acquisition.
