CAHSAH's primary purpose is to promote the common business interests of the home care industry and has therefore established itself as a group purchasing organization (GPO), authorized to act as a purchasing agent for home care agencies who furnish home care services.
We are authorized to serve as a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) for our members to facilitate the availability of various supplies and services for the home care industry. We have made arrangements with a variety of vendors to package programs, many at discounted prices, that may save members time and/or money.
By negotiating group purchasing programs that achieve better pricing, service and contractual terms for the products and services home care agencies use on a regular basis, CAHSAH helps you reduce costs and remain competitive. Agencies not only reduce their operating costs, but are also able to explore new models for the business of home care.
CAHSAH, in turn, may receive a royalty from the participating vendors with respect to purchases made by or on behalf of the participating member, which helps support other association programs.
To achieve competitive pricing and contract terms, CAHSAH leverages the collective buying power of California's home care agencies to negotiate purchasing solutions with a select group of strategic vendors. These vendors have experience, are accomplished in their respective industries and have shown an eagerness to help create programs that further the mission of home care. As a result, home care agencies have the tools to realize significant time and savings--savings that can be reinvested in patient care or innovative technologies to help strengthen management and clinical systems.
