“The in-person Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy workshops by OASIS Answers, Inc. have been rescheduled to November 2021 and April 2022. This alternative virtual educational offering provided by CAHSAH is not affiliated with OASIS Answers, Inc. or with the COS-C Exam.”
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
OASIS data collection continues to evolve! Based on the most current CMS guidance available, this workshop provides a comprehensive look at the OASIS items in OASIS-D1 and OASIS related PDGM information effective January 1, 2020 with the quarterly updates. This effective, up-to-the-minute education is targeted for field data collectors, their supervisors, OASIS educators and reviewers, quality improvement staff, and those preparing for the COS-C Exam.
The focus is on OASIS items used for the functional score in PDGM (payment items), the items used to calculate the Quality of Care Star rating, and other items that present challenges to field staff and reviewers. A comparison of the M1800 ADL/IADL items and the GG items, wound items that are often answered incorrectly, and key items used for IMPACT Act and other quality reporting will be included. Lisa and Teresa provide the CMS guidance, Q&A updates, assessment tips and plenty of scenarios to apply and test your knowledge of OASIS.
Learning Objectives:
- Assessment techniques for OASIS data collection
- Selecting OASIS responses that accurately represent clinical assessment findings
- Tips for OASIS reviewers
- Providing accurate data for quality measurement and payment
