Value-Based Purchasing
Effective January 1, 2023
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has officially ruled that Value-Based Purchasing is expanding to all 50 states effective January 1, 2023. 2022 is considered a pre-implementation year that will give agencies a head-start to get processes in place for the first performance year (2023).
As a result of the new changes involved within the model, your organization should be well prepared and have a clear vision on the changes to come. Join us as we discuss the finalized key components of the VBP initiative such as changes to OASIS items, episode management, optimizing reimbursement, and more.
You will be provided interactive scenarios and take-home tools.
Plan ahead for your organization and ensure you are well-equipped to successfully perform under value-based purchasing.
Program Objectives:
- Describe key steps in determining your agency's baseline performance.
- Identify OASIS measures that make up 35% of your VBP score, including mobility, self-care and stand-alone items, and take-away tips & tricks for OASIS accuracy.
- Examine key episode management strategies your agency can leverage to optimize value-based care delivery.
- Recognize how placing an emphasis on Social Determinants of Heath and Health Literacy can help improve VBP outcomes.
