Tara has dedicated her career to the healthcare industry since 1994, starting in a skilled home care department at a local hospital district. Recognizing a critical need for non-medical home care services that adhere to established practices and regulations, including Title 22 and Joint Commission standards, she took the initiative to launch a non-medical division within the hospital district.
In 2014, Tara founded Care Choice Home Care (CCHC), which has since become a respected provider across San Diego, Orange County, and Riverside County. Under her leadership, CCHC has established valuable partnerships with organizations such as Palomar Health, Gary and Mary West PACE, and the San Diego Veterans Administration, enhancing the support available to clients.
In 2016, she took her commitment further by establishing The Foundation for Care Integration, aimed at funding services that enable older and disabled adults to age in place with dignity and support. Tara played a pivotal role in finalizing a partnership with San Diego County's Live Well initiative, enhancing collaborative efforts to improve community health.
An active member of the San Diego Senior Alliance committee, Tara is deeply involved in addressing California's Master Plan on Aging. She also serves on the San Diego Council on Aging, San Diego Regional Home Care Council and is a member of CAHSAH and the Home Care Association of America.
