As hospices are surveyed every three years and complaint surveys continue to rise, it is imperative to understand the current focus from the different survey agencies. Are you familiar with the different types of surveys and citations you could receive, as well as the common risk areas? Join us to learn what CMS, CDPH, TJC, CHAP & ACHC are finding in their hospice surveys and how to avoid these issues. Learn the five-point method of writing a successful plan of correction. The workshop will begin with a breakout session by National Government Services (NGS) and follow with a general overview of Additional Document Requests (ADRs) by expert faculty Annette Lee, who worked for over a decade with a MAC in medical review and education. This session will review the different types of audits and the processes followed by Medical Review, CERT, SMRCs and RACs.
