Happy September CAHSAH Members!

As I write this message, I find myself reflecting on the past two years during which I have had the immense honor of serving as the Chairperson of the California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) Board of Directors.

This role has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life, and I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you for your support and dedication and commitment to our mission. When I took on this role of Chairperson, I was driven by passion to elevate the quality and accessibility of home care services across our great state.  Together we have navigated an evolving landscape, advocating for the needs of our clients, their families and dedicated professionals who provide these essential services.

I am proud of what we have accomplished during this time, and it is essential to acknowledge that these achievements have been made possible through the collaborative spirit and tireless efforts of our entire membership.  Throughout my tenure, I have witnessed firsthand the resilience and innovation our members have demonstrated in facing challenges and embracing opportunities. The way our community came through during the COVID-19 pandemic to adapt and ensure safe effective care is our testament to our unwavering commitment to those we serve. I am deeply grateful for the countless hours you devoted, the ideas you shared, and the support you offered one another.

Together, we have fostered a more robust network of care that we can all be proud of. I would like to also recognize the invaluable contributions of our Board of Directors, Committees and  CAHSAH staff. Your expertise and dedication have enriched our organization and have been pivotal in guiding our initiatives and programs. It has been a pleasure to work alongside such talented individuals who share a common vision for elevating home health services.

As I step down from the position of Chairperson, I’m excited about the future of our association and the remarkable leadership that will continue to guide our community. I encourage each of you to remain actively engaged, as your voices and input are crucial to the ongoing success of our mission. Together, we will continue to champion higher standards of care and support all those who rely on our services. Thank you again for your faith in me and for the privilege of leading this exceptional association. I look forward to seeing all the great things that lie ahead for us, and I will always remain an advocate for the values we’ve shared as members of CAHSAH.

Now, it’s with great privilege that I introduce Julie Lehman, RN, Director of Home and Healthcare Management as our new Board Chair.  Julie will be an incredible leader for our association, I look forward to working with her in the coming years.

With gratitude and best wishes,

Elaine Flores
