What prompted you to enter the field of home care/home health or hospice?
I was prompted to enter the field of home care due to a personal situation where I had to provide daily care for my father who faced serious health challenges in St. Louis, MO. This experience revealed the quality gaps in caregiving and spurred me to improve the system and make home care more accessible.

What other positions/jobs have you held in the past?
In the past, I was a former Silicon Valley engineer in the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals industry for over a decade. He later founded an engineering consultancy, co-founded a mission-driven equity firm, and established two behavioral and mental health assisted living facilities with an 18-bed capacity.

What motivates you each day?
Each day, I'm driven by the desire to honor my family and give back to the community that raised me. My aspiration is to ensure my parents can enjoy their retirement comfortably. As well as enhance access to healthcare and financial resources for neighborhoods similar I grew up in.

What is one goal, either professional or personal, that you are working towards achieving or one accomplishment of which you are very proud?
Professionally, I am striving to continue my impactful work within the community, and personally, I'm proud to have been named 'MAN of the Year' by the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., in recognition of my fundraising and overall community support efforts in Oakland, CA.

What’s your favorite hobby or pastime?
I enjoy mentoring high school students as a member of 100 Black Men of Los Angeles. Additionally, I'm an avid sports fan and relish the thrill of watching live events, be it football, basketball, baseball, or tennis.

What do hope to gain from your membership in CAHSAH?
From the membership in CAHSAH, I hope to gain access to resources, support, and a network of professionals that can help me further my vision of innovating in-home healthcare and elevating the quality of care for families and the community.
