What prompted you to enter the field of home care/home health or hospice?
Home Care is near and dear to my heart. I’ve always been passionate about helping others in need. Working with the Elderly and Special Needs Population has given me a purpose and can be described as my calling. There is nothing more fulfilling than helping mankind.
What other positions/jobs have you held in the past?
I worked 16 yrs. as a Senior Facility Manager for Level 10 Group Home Facilities in Los Angeles and Orange County California and assisted in opening homes in the State of Virginia, 8 years at Newport Mesa Unified School District as a Behavioral Analyst Interventionist, and 8 years as a Home Care Manager for Adults and Special Needs clients with Regional Center of Orange County.
What motivates you each day?
What motivates me is knowing that each day I am making a difference in someone’ life. I am very passionate about working with my clients and try my very best to give them and their families the best care possible while keeping their independence and overall self-worth and wellbeing.
What is one goal, either professional or personal, that you are working towards achieving or one accomplishment of which you are very proud?
My biggest accomplishment would be my family! I have two amazing sons who are beautiful human beings, and a marriage of 36 yrs.
What’s your favorite hobby or pastime?
My favorite pastime is sitting by the beach and taking in all its beauty and positive energy. The Ocean centers me. I also enjoy music, entertaining, and traveling with my family.
What do you hope to gain from your membership in CAHSAH?
I am excited to join CAHSAH and be a part of a dynamic advocacy group that promotes all Health Services with education and information that will enhance Parentis Health’s motto of the continuum of care.
