POLITICS, POWER AND ADVOCACY
Thank you for your continued membership in CAHSAH. As the home care industry continues to evolve, CAHSAH is committed to assisting our members with providing quality care. One of the most exciting and effective opportunities available to our members is the chance to increase the interaction of home care providers with our state and federal elected officials. You can take advantage of this opportunity by becoming an active advocate and educating yourself on key legislative issues that will be impacting our industry. One of the best ways to connect with your elected officials is by participating in the legislative process, taking an active part in CAHSAH’s advocacy alerts and engaging in our April 22-24, 2025 Zoom Annual Lobby Day Event!
CAHSAH has a new and highly expanded advocacy software platform – Quorum that enhances your connection with your elected officials. This specially designed advocacy and legislative tracking software enhances our advocacy by putting our members in touch with an array of sophisticated tools to quickly and efficiently send customized messages to your legislators. CAHSAH provides you with the message and all you do is click send. Your legislators receive your custom message as a constituent of their legislative districts. Your legislators want to hear from you.
This unique software enables you to enter your voting address so we are sure you are connecting with the legislators in your legislative district. Recently, you received an email from our Legislative Specialist, Mary Adorno, inviting you to add your information to our advocacy platform, Quorum. We encourage you to get connected before the Legislature begins its committee hearings on important proposed legislation that will impact our industry. Thousands of pieces of legislation are being introduced now. We want you to be informed and prepared.
Together we can build an even stronger team of advocates with Quorum! Questions regarding this article may be directed to CAHSAH’s Legislative Specialist at madorno@cahsah.org.
